Do thicker mattresses last longer?
Share
Thicker mattresses may last longer than thinner mattresses, but this is not always the case. (but not because they are thicker) The durability of a mattress is determined by the quality and construction of the materials used, rather than the thickness.(100% true, with a minimum of 8" for a good quality mattress) A well-built mattress, regardless of thickness, can last for several years (8-12 years, and even longer if latex is used as a key ingredient in the mattress) while a poorly constructed one may not last as long (2-5 years). Additionally, the thickness of a mattress can affect the level of comfort it provides (not really true), but not necessarily the durability (100% true, many thick mattresses crater in just a few years).
